Saverio Truglia’s winning team portrait

April 6, 2011

Saverio Truglia’s conceptual creativity has shown through once again with this week’s cover of Time Out Chicago (March 31-April 6, 2011, on stands now). Asked to ‘invoke lucky superstitions’, Saverio’s image shows the lucky rituals fan will do to bring a winning season to their baseball team. Reassembling in his studio a mini section of Wrigley Field with original stadium seats, Saverio captures two fans of Chicago’s two teams, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, expressing the hope and belief that this could be their year. With additional talent being a borrowed petting zoo goat, Saverio shot over 12 separate pieces for this one final perfect shot.
