Sandro, Mark Wiens and Steven Wohlwender honored in Archive’s Best 200 Ad Photographers
Schumann & Company is thrilled to announce that Sandro , Mark Wiens and Steven Wohlwender have been honored in “200 Best Ad Photographers” by Luerzer´s Archive magazine. Noted for their exceptional imagery and trend setting styles in commercial photography, the three Schumann & Company photographers are included in the international group of winners noted for their professional and creative expertise in the field.
Sandro’s selected images are from his book Imagine Cuba, 1999-2007. This will mark Sandro’s fourth year to be honored with the Archive 200 Best award. “It is a great honor to be recognized for the fourth time in the Archive Best 200 Advertising photographers. To be amongst such talented peers, all of whom are the best in their field, makes this such a great distinction” said Sandro.
Mark Wiens photograph of a perfectly lit, subtly styled, well aged crow’s feather was one of his images that drew the attention of Archive. “Approaching the weathered and worn subjects in the same way as refined high end products elevates them beyond their value and they take on an organic beauty all their own” said Mark of the image that brought him the Best 200 recognition.
This will be the third year in a row that Steven Wohlwender’s images have been included in the Archive publication. “The sunlight was fighting it’s way through fog and clouds and lit the whole place up. Creamy, coffee colored sand with white snow mixed in” recaps Steven of the day he shot his winning image of a runner along Lake Michigan on a winters day. “Being called one of the 200 Best of Anything in the world, is a pretty big deal, and it’s coming from a class act like Archive”.
Congratulations to Sandro, Mark and Steven for such wonderful recognition of your work.
